IT Strategic Planning

We offer both remote and on-site Consulting, IT Management, and IT Support. InTech is experienced in learning the specific business processes at each client location, and determining what technologies would enhance the organization, or streamline operations. By applying knowledge and expertise, and an understanding of the clients business, InTech can develop recommendations and technology strategies.

Services

IT Project Planning and Management

By contracting with InTech, our clients acquire the necessary skills, expertise, and proficiency needed to handle all types of sophisticated technology projects. We provide hands-on, on-site, and remote project planning and management services to enable companies to complete technology projects ontime and on budget. InTech has years of experience in managing IT–related projects, and in working with vendors and client employees to ensure a projects success. InTech will learn and understand the business processes in order to fully understand the system requirements. Our staff become part of the client organization much like an internal IT Department would. With years of experience in developing project plans, estimating costs and timelines, and predicting possible problems that may arise during the project, we are qualified and equipped to function as a fully operational IT Department for the client. We have managed phone system upgrades/installs, email system upgrades/installs, security audits, network upgrades, server migrations, building moves, company mergers, etc. Depending on the size and specifics of the project, there may be additional charges that would be specified and approved prior to beginning any project. Although our staff has extensive qualifications, we still bring in individuals in specialized areas if a project requires it.

IT Asset Management

InTech develops a plan, and manages all IT assets for our clients in a cost-efficient manner. We formulate organized IT processes, and develop specific management plans for Computers, Servers, Network equipment, software licenses, and other technology assets that the client may be utilizing at their location. We will inventory IT equipment and provide client with advice on equipment upgrades, equipment replacement plans and expected costs, and/or move IT assets within the organization as appropriate. To make this service a success, InTech works with the client to budget and plan for IT asset life cycle management. This gives the client and our staff a clear understanding of how equipment will be managed, what the costs will be, and when each piece of equipment will need to be replaced. We will take care of the entire replacement process as we are partners with various vendors. Part of the asset management plan is to plan for removal and destruction of equipment and data. Upon retiring old equipment, we will use software tools to wipe hard drives and any other media that contain data. Once wiped, these drives and media are then shipped out to be physically destroyed to ensure data destruction. The remaining equipment is sent to an e-cycling center to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.

Mobile, WIFI, and Cabling Solutions

InTech has experience in managing and maintaining mobile contracts (Verizon, AT&T, etc.) and can manage smart phone contracts, support agreements, and upgrades as needed. Also, InTech has experience in designing, installing and managing wifi networks. Another area of expertise is in designing, planning, managing, and upgrading network cabling and related infrastructure.

Technical Support

To optimize the strategic use of technology, our clients rely on our dependable, effective technical support. We solve technical problems through both on-site, and remote, technical support activities. InTech provides remote and onsite problem resolution. We can work with client employees directly to perform many IT tasks remotely. However, if the best way to resolve the issue is through hands-on/onsite work, our technical staff will come to the client location to perform the work. There is no trip charge, no additional hourly fee for this onsite work. We also schedule regular onsite time at each client location (usually at least one-per-week) to check on employees to make sure everything is running smoothly. By performing our services in this manner InTech will then become familiar with the client’s business and processes. This puts our staff in a position to fully advise the client on the strategic use of technology, as opposed to just providing technical assistance. InTech services also include network management, user permissions management, and related administrative IT activities. The majority of this can be accomplished remotely, but is also donea while onsite.

Organizations rely more heavily now than ever on their IT Departments to confidently meet security and compliance requirements. InTech applies years of experience, education, and technical skills to help clients achieve compliance with regulatory bodies, and meet the stringent security requirements that are demanded by todays marketplace. We have experience in managing Security Audits, and working with client employees to develop corporate policies and procedures to meet compliance requirements where appropriate. Some examples of this are HIPAA and HITECH. Depending on the project demands, we may bring in outside experts to perform certain tasks that require specific technical or industry specialization. These additional resources are discussed with the client, and are budgeted and planned as part of the project.

Security, Compliance, and Policy Development
Vendor Management

Professional oversight of third party vendors relieves clients of having to sort through IT contracts, stipulations and technical language that is usually not understandable to individuals outside of the IT industry. InTech has years of experience in providing this highly-specialized IT Service. We will work with the client to manage IT vendor contracts and agreements to ensure that IT systems, applications, and related contracts are effective for the clients’ needs. As InTech becomes familiar with the client’s business, we will provide advice on how to utilize technology strategically as opposed to just operationally. Example: If client is having unreliable internet service, we will contact the internet service provider to resolve the issue. At the same time, we will review the contract in place with the provider, and advise client on any changes or upgrades that may be beneficial. InTech has many years of experience working with phone system vendors, telecom providers, remote backup/storage facilities, cloud service vendors, webpage designers, proprietary application providers, wireless providers, and other vendors in the IT industry. We will work on the clients’ behalf, similar to the service that would be provided by an internal IT Department.

IT Budget Development

A comprehensive understanding of technoloyg costs, and making informed decisions regarding technology expenditures, has eludded non-IT top-level managers for years. InTech brings this information to the decision makers in an understandable format. Through planning and discussion, we ensure that business expenditures on IT are strategic, planned, and deliberate. InTech is experienced in planning and developing enterprise IT Budgets. Through managing IT assets, providing onsite IT Support, and managing vendor relationships, we are able to fully understand the business processes, and the technology requirements at the client locations. We use this information to provide advice and technology-related plans for the client. Our staff also uses this information to draft annual IT budget plans, and to coordinate immediate purchases. This process is ongoing at most client locations, and it can be formalized to match the client budget cycle/process.
